Visit to Sacramento September 2007

• Friday night
• Arrived around 9ish, got the rental car.
• Headed to Streets of London and met up with Rich, Court, Eric, Kevin, Jason, Paul, and a smattering of others.
• Ate some pizza at Pieces.
• Saturday
• Woke up, got ready for hiking, and waited for Courtney to show up. When he finally did (what a slowpoke), we headed to the Bay.
• Hiked at Muir Woods for a while. Did about 5 miles.
• Headed to Sausalito for lunch. Courtney's blood sugar levels return to normal.
• Headed to the Marin Headlands to get some great pics of some good looking guys and the scenery.
• Drove over the Golden Gate, parked the car and walked about halfway across it.
• Headed into Haight Ashbury and ate some Middle Eastern food. Yum. I had the fortune of parking at the intersection of Haight and Ashbury. Rich informed me that I'll probably never be able to do that again in my lifetime. :)
• Headed over to Cobb's to see a comedy show. Unfortunately Simbad was there that night and they wanted $40 a ticket! So we headed back to Sacramento.
• Sunday
• Ate breakfast at Tower Cafe. Mmmmmm Tower French Toast.
• Went hiking with Rich in Auburn.
• Drank coffee in Sac with Rich at Weatherstone.
• Went to Folsom to meet up with the Folsomites for dinner.
• Went to the Bon Lair to play in the Sunday trivia game with Rich, Court, and friends.
• Monday
• Had breakfast with Peter.
• Headed back to SMF to hop the Southwest flight back home.

A view of Northern San Francisco from the parking lot in Sausalito. This confuses me... why someone would have a parking lot in a spot with a beautiful view like this? Crazy. We ate at a restaurant there that had good food for OK prices, and the waiters wore ties! I can count on one hand how many times in a year that might happen. The old and new. The foreground has a picture of one of the supports of an old bridge that Rich tells me was washed out in flooding a long time ago. The Auburn-Foresthill bridge doesn't replace that one... one was constructed further downstream, and was meant to be temporary. It's still there to this day. This is a painting in Rich's apartment that I really like. It's two sheep, one black, one white, enjoying the day. I think it looks very cute. I still haven't figured out how to say that last sentence and still sound masculine, so I'm leaving it for the time being. I have a sneaking suspicion that it will be the butt of future jokes.
