Here's the pieces I practiced on before doing welds on the car. The bead with all the brown around it is when I first forgot to turn on the gas. The bead with a big chunk missing is where I went too slow, and blew away the metal (when you weld too slow the heat builds up too much, causing the molten metal to drop away).
